Idex (https://idex.market/) is a relatively new – decentralised – exchange but is quickly growing in popularity. Whilst exchange like Binance have more bells and whistles to it and benefit from far superior volume Idex (for current volume please visit https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/tidex/) list coins quicker than anybody else (because they don’t follow the ‘official listing process that exchange like Binance and bittrex work with) and you can trade directly from your wallet – meaning you can trade coins/tokens straight after, or even during, an ICO has finished. The beauty of this is that, especially during bear season where a lot of ICO’s struggle to show results quick, you can pick up ICO’s with huge long/mid term potential below ICO price.
The Idex exchange is a decentralised exchange based on the Ethereum network that allows you trade Ethereum and ERC20 (most ICO’s) trading pairs. Similar to other decentralised Ethereum exchanges Idex employs smart contracts that allows user to manage their private keus and trade in userfriendly and secure peer to peer environment and essentially trade straight from the wallet. It allows you to integrate directly with your Ledger Nano S, and your MetaMask and other safe alternatives for token/fund management. An important differentiator for Idex compared to for example Etherdelta is that Idex leverages its smart contracts to manage transactions for its users; meaning you’ll still have to sign off on a transaction with your private key but the exchanges broadcasts the transaction to the Ethereum blockchain network for you – this allows Idex to update account balances and order books in realtime but also prevents potential network congestion and allows you to avoid potential mistakes by offering a failsafe.
We would only suggest you to trade on Idex if you already have some experiences trading cryptocurrencies on exchanges like Binance or Bittrex – below an outline of how to trade on Idex:
